Works of Art

Here’re some from the old archives. Sis found a cd-rom labeled “Pics and Docs,” so she popped it in to see what was on it, and found these that our human brother made of us on the computer! Don’t we look lovely! You should frame them and hang them in your gallery!

Happy Birthday Sissy!

October 23, 2006

We helped Sissy celebrate her birthday this past weekend! We both gave her kissies at the same time, even! Then when she had to go back to school, we ran in the garage and jumped in the car. We could help her in class! We know how to sit and stay and stuff like that, so how hard can it be? She says she has to work, too, but we think we can handle that also. We’re so sad when she leaves, but so happy when she comes back!

Why, whatever do you mean by this, Sis??? Why did you enter me in the naughtiest doggie picture contest? You couldn’t even snap a picture of me doing the *really* naughty things like tearing up the couch cushions or jumping onto the counter and stealing the food. haha. Oh well, it’d still be nice to win something! So vote for me all you dogs and peeps!

Please vote for Shiro at The 2nd Annual World’s Coolest Dog & Cat Show

More Contest Entries!

October 18, 2006

I have been entered (although somewhat reluctantly) by Sis in more categories in the World’s Coolest Dog Show. You can vote for me here:

Not much else exciting going on now, except that we will celebrate Sis’ 25th birthday with her on Saturday. I heard something about cupcakes…

Our names should be in lights. Or we should at least get paid to be celebrity impersonators at parties! Why, you may ask? Well, see for youself!!!

So, since we do have a certain ja-nay-say-quoi, we decided to enter the Dogster Coolest Dog Contest. Here are our entries so far (Please vote for us*):

*Note: On my computer, when I selct the five stars (or any rating, but you’ll give us five, right?), the “vote” button disappears, but you still have to click where it was to get the vote to register.

Signing off for now,

My Weekend With Sis

October 8, 2006

Sis sure does spoil me when she’s home. She lets me walk with her down the street with all the noisy dogs that bark at us to the lake where there is something swimming in it! It surfaces so quickly we can’t tell what it is yet. But today, we heard a giant crashing sound in the brush accross the lake, and then saw a huge deer! We also said hello to a big dog tied up in his backyard. He was big, but looked old and was friendly, wagging his tail. Then we saw a bluejay on our way home. Not as good as seeing a turkey, though. I hope Sis takes me to see the turkeys on Campus one day. Here is a picture of a few of them (there are 8 or 9 of them all together, though!)

October 8, 2006

Hurray! Sis came home for the weekend! Double hurray: The pictures of me and Akira sleeping didn’t turn out! That’s what she gets for using a disposable camera! The Dad took a picture of Sis helping Akira and me with our Galileo bones (we have her wrapped around our little paws!):

Unfortunately for Akira, one picture of him did turn out (Akira thinks it’s embarrassing, catching him scratching an itch, but Sis thought it was cute how he used his back leg to scratch his ear):

Finally, Sis captured a picture of the evil toads hidey-hole. Only one of them was home right then (can you find him?), cause sis had had to rescue one from my clutches in the yard, then she carried him thru the house and out the front door, and it hadn’t made it back to it’s hole.

Overall, it was a pretty good weekend, with Sis being home. I got to kiss, play with, and cuddle with Sis, and Akira even played with her and me. For the first time (ever), Akira and I played tug-of-war. Sis and Akira were playing with the green ring, and I wanted to play too, so Sis told me to grab on with my teeth and I did. Even with both Sis and I pulling, Akira still won, but it was fun. Then I found out, I can make him drop the green ring if I attack him instead of the ring, but Sis says that isn’t nice. Sis is back in Pittsburgh. I tried to dig out of the fenced-in back yard when I saw her trying to escape. She came over to the fence and tried to kiss me through i, while I tried to jump over it.

Until next time,

We did it again, we expressed our strong distaste at our Sis leaving us last Sunday. And she usually stays until Tuesday afternoon! But now she has something like when the mom and the dad go to work without us (although one time Dad brough us to show us off, and that was fun), but it’s called “service.” She’s in something called AmeriCorps in addition to going to school. Right now she’s in training. We tried to tell her we already trained her, and we could even teach her tricks if she wanted, but she didn’t seem to get it. But sis is coming to see us again tomorrow!!! And we heard that she made friends with someone at a pet supply store who might be able to get us discount doggie cookies! it’s still not worth her being gone from us so much, but at least it’s a consolation.
We are sorry we haven’t written a lot, but we got really tired from taking care of Sis when she was sick and had to rest up. Sis even took pictures of us hard at resting before she left. it was on a disposable camera, but she’s going to put them on a cd, so hopefully they don’t turn out, cause it might be a little embarassing to be caught napping on the job.

lots of luv,

Shiro and Akira
